The Weapons of Our Warfare

2Cor 10:3-6
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (AKJV)

Since we have weapons to overcome the enemy, why aren't we? These are good truths that should be taught extensively in church, but if the people in church don't know how use their weapons, then preaching alone isn't getting it done. Part of the training and equiping of the saints is breaking down the message into workshops, and teaching them with hands-on experience. A great message can be preached, but experiential knowledge will bear more fruit. How much fruit do you think preaching alone will get ya? Not much, look around.

Break the church up into groups, the men can teach the men and boys, and the women can teach the women and girls. They should be taught how to pull down strong holds in their lives and how to cast evil spirits out of themselves.  Walk them through it and let them be held accountable to each other.  Do this till you see victory in their character and in their walk. Don't do it for just a certain number of meetings.  If need be, do it till Jesus gets back. People can meet two or three days a week and they should visit each other and check up on each others progress.

If you think preaching the Word is enough, look at the number of churches and beliefs in this country alone, in your city alone. The body of Christ doesn't know unity and it needs unity to be a body. We are suppose to be walking in power and authority and there is little to no power and authority in the body of Christ.

If this message bears witness to you, please share it.
God bless

We Must Pray For Our Leaders

Acts 23:5 And Paul said, “I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’ ESV

I opened up my Bible to read, to learn and to be cleansed. Not knowing what to read, I remembered a brother speaking on something from Acts 23 the other night. So, I chose to read that chapter and let the Lord teach me what He will.

To begin with, let inform you that what Paul said, he quoted from Exodus 22:28 which says,

“You shall not revile gods, nor curse a ruler of your people. ESV

The KJV says gods, but the ESV, my latest version of choice, says God. The word used is Elohim H430 means God and gods, it also means judges, angels and occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates and sometimes as a superlative. I believe it is in reference to a human and not a god, whether false or True.

So, my reason for writing is the revelation God gave me in reading that verse. It says, "You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people."I realized how popular making fun of Obama is and thanks be to God, I now know, that this is not part of His plan for me or you. We're told to pray for our leaders in1 Timothy 2:1-4

1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people,
2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,
4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
ESV

How many people in the church do you think pray for Obama or others in gov or govs of other countries, not many I'm sure. This is the reason our country and world are in such a bad state. Lack of prayer gives the enemy ground to do what he wants and so he has. We grumble and complain, because we don't always get what we want and we're told to do more than we desire . We are told not to grumble and complain, this is a command from God, yet we do it anyway. For this reason, we deserve what we get.

Phil 2:14 Do all things without grumbling or questioning, ESV

Starting now, today, we must stop complaining about what we've been told to do by God. We must lift up all gov officials in prayer to our God. We are to pray as told, not to use vain repetitions, but letting the Holy Spirit lead us. We know not what to pray, but God does and He will tell us if we ask. We must sit quietly and listen, ask nothing and offer nothing, just let Him tell you what to pray.

I believe this is what God wants. This will bring unity to the body of Christ. In unity there is power. When we start walking in power, through us, God will make things happen.

I'm ready for this, how about you?

Please share you thoughts. I welcome all comments, whether encouraging or critical.

God bless.
