My Music
I have been blessed by God with a desire, not only, to praise and worship Him in music, but to have some musical talent. About six ago, while living in a house owned by High Point Church, The house was right next to the church and I could go in and play the drums, pretty much, whenever I wanted, I had no desire to be a drummer, this was just for fun, After playing around with the drums for a few years and learning a little bit from a friend, I played drums with the praise team on Sunday morning. This was so much fun, you just can't imagine and I loved being up there, helping lead the congregation in worship. That was a few years ago, I no longer go to that church, I've moved out of state.
Guess what, a couple of months ago, a brother blessed me with a guitar and an amp, I've asked God for a guitar for several years. Well, my prayers were answered and I now have a guitar. Thank You Father. As a young teen, my Dad taught me three chords and one song, G, C, D, and "You Are My Sunshine." Since then, I've learned several other chords, but I had no guitar, so I couldn't practice. Well, I now have guitar and I practice regularly. I've learned a few even more chords and I've got a few songs I'm learning to play. To God be the glory.
The other day, I broke a string on my guitar, it was the fourth string. For those who don't know, the first string is the thinnest and the sixth string is the thickest. Now, I have a five string guitar, you know, it just doesn't sound as good, so I'll have to buy another string, so I can start playing again.
Well, I can play the drums pretty well and I'm learning to play the guitar, Next, I want to learn to sing, and this too, I've asked God for and I believe this is a blessing in progress. Since, I've been playing the guitar, I've started singing along and I believe, at least I hope, my voice is starting to sound better. Of course, this could all be in my mind, but my wife has said something similar and that is, no doubt, encouraging. I'm not saying I have a great voice just that it's improving.
Well, I haven't played my guitar as much lately, you know, since I'm missing a string, I'm sure you're not surprised. It's only been a few days since I broke my guitar string, but I sure do miss playing and singing. I especially love it, when my wife sings with me.
Next, I need to learn to read music, so I can write down the little bit that I create.
As I said before, the reason I want to play and sing, is to praise and worship our Father. I want to write love songs to God and to His Son, Yeshua. I want to put to music, my feelings for the Lord. It'll be something that anyone can sing and enjoy, if they will feel the same way about the Lord. I also, have a desire to lead or help lead others in worship. I don't want to be a star, I just want God to use me in a way that will bring so many people joy and excitement and encouragement. Whether or not this ever happens, doesn't really matter, it's just a dream. As long as I can play and sing, regardless what I sound like, I know our Father will enjoy it and that's good enough. He inhabits the praises of His people.
One more thing, a few years ago, me and a couple of my brothers were the opening act in a small praise and worship concert at a church in Macon, Ga. We had a great time, we played three songs and the crowd loved us.
I hope you enjoyed my story. I just wanted to share a little bit about my musical dreams and the blessings I've received.
If you think anyone will enjoy reading this, please share it.
Have a great day and God bless.
He’s My Father
I was saved in 1990-91. I didn't start going to church until the middle of 2001 . I went to a church for a year and a few months, where I learned little or no Spiritual Truth.
In September of 2003 I attended a different church. I now know and understand that this was a move of God and I'm grateful for it. As soon as I moved to this church, I started hearing things that I didn't know or understand. I was taught Spiritual Truths, my Spiritual eyes and ears were opened and I was allowed some understanding. Thank You Father. Since I've been at this church, I've learned so much that proves everything in the Bible is for today. Not only do I have book knowledge, I also have a good bit of experiential knowledge. I've seen and done what most people in the church, say and believe is impossible or was for another day.
I also know now, that God is my Father. This isn't because I heard it or read it, but because He showed me and He told me and He let me understand and feel how much He loves me and cares for me. I call God Father, He is both my God and my Father, but right now He's my Father and that's what I need Him to be.
What I want and one day will have, is to be in total surrender to Father and to have a level of intimacy with Him that is so intense and pure. I want to be in total surrender to Father. A relationship this close to Father, is something I've only dreamed of, when I get there, maybe then I'll call Him Dad, but now is not the time. I was told several years ago, that I was calling God Dad for the wrong reason. Maybe that's true, but I'm in a better Spiritual place now, than I was then. Maybe my intentions were selfish and I was looking out for my own gain. That's just one of the bumps in the road of my past, that are apart of me.
How close are you to God? Is He your Father? Would you like Him to be? Are you afraid of Him? Think about it. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'd love to pray with you or for you.
God bless
The Sabbath Day
The Lord has recently put the Sabbath Day on my heart. The majority of the Body worships on Sunday, but God said,
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. KJV
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. KJV
GOD said to keep the Sabbath Day holy, the seventh day. But most of the Body of Christ worships on Sunday, why?
Because most of the Body of Christ does what man says. God didn't say, I've Blessed and Hallowed the seventh day, but you go ahead and worship on the first day. (In case you missed it, this is sarcasm)
I'm reading a book by Jeffrey Weiss, "The Truth of Reformation." In it he speaks about the Sabbath being on the seventh day, as spoken by God, our Father, you know, the Creator. He also speaks about festivals and how the belief of the majority of the Body is what man has decided. The facts he listed are unproven by me, so whether or not they're true, I don't know. But one thing I do know, God blessed and hallowed the seventh day, the Sabbath. He spoke it in His Word, the Bible. You can read the above verses or look it up in your own Bible.
So, that's all I want to write for now. I want people to question what they believe. Especially, if it, in any way, contradicts the Bible.

I BELIEVE
I believe in God. I believe He is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, because the Bible says so. (I also believe the Bible is His inerrant Word spoken to us, by His Holy prophets, so we will know His Will and what He expects from us.) I believe He is One and I believe He is Three. He is a Threefold God. This is spoken throughout the entire Bible. Why do people in the church believe in the Trinity, but not the actual working of the Holy Spirit or Spiritual Gifts?
Matthew 28:19 says, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" KJV
Why would He say baptize them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost/Spirit, if He wasn't a threefold God? (Spirit and ghost are the same Greek word, pneuma, pronounced pnyoo'-mah.)
Genesis 1:26 says “...Let Us make man in Our Image, after Our Likeness..." KJV
This verse uses the words Us and Our, these words imply more than one. Why then, does most of the body of Christ not believe He is Three? I'll tell you why. Actually, I'll quote scripture.
1 Tim.4:1 says, "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." KJV
Read the entire chapter to see what He's talking about.
God is a Triune Being, that means three. He is the Father, He is our Father, as spoken in
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. KJV
We are adopted by Him, He is our Father, our Dad, our Daddy. Also, He is the Son, God in human form, our Saviour, our Example, the One we seek to emulate or be like. Also, He is the Holy Spirit and He has many Names and parts to play in our lives. He is the Comforter, He is an Intercessor, He is also a Tutor, as spoken in
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.
8 And when He is come, He will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on Me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see Me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come. KJV
I pray our Father will open your eyes and ears and let you receive Spiritual Truth. I pray He will let you receive the Truth spoken in this blog. I ask this in the Name of Jesus Christ.
God bless
