The Weapons of Our Warfare

2Cor 10:3-6
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (AKJV)

Since we have weapons to overcome the enemy, why aren't we? These are good truths that should be taught extensively in church, but if the people in church don't know how use their weapons, then preaching alone isn't getting it done. Part of the training and equiping of the saints is breaking down the message into workshops, and teaching them with hands-on experience. A great message can be preached, but experiential knowledge will bear more fruit. How much fruit do you think preaching alone will get ya? Not much, look around.

Break the church up into groups, the men can teach the men and boys, and the women can teach the women and girls. They should be taught how to pull down strong holds in their lives and how to cast evil spirits out of themselves.  Walk them through it and let them be held accountable to each other.  Do this till you see victory in their character and in their walk. Don't do it for just a certain number of meetings.  If need be, do it till Jesus gets back. People can meet two or three days a week and they should visit each other and check up on each others progress.

If you think preaching the Word is enough, look at the number of churches and beliefs in this country alone, in your city alone. The body of Christ doesn't know unity and it needs unity to be a body. We are suppose to be walking in power and authority and there is little to no power and authority in the body of Christ.

If this message bears witness to you, please share it.
God bless

Lust

Matt 5:27-28
27 You have heard that it was said by them of old time, You shall not commit adultery:
28 But I say to you, That whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. (AKJV)

"You shall not commit adultery" is a commandment found in Ex 20:14 and Deut 5:18.

One of the ten commandments says, don't commit adultery and Jesus gave us more understanding when he said, " If you look on a woman to lust after her, you've already committed adultery in you heart." Every man has at one time in his life done this, lusted. It's time to start teaching the truth and quit trying to love everyone through it. God has order. He said don't lust. The ascension gifts of Jesus or the five fold ministry, are to train and equip the saints, the true body of Christ. The authorities in the church need to start teaching God's Word. Men need to learn how to be men of God. Treating their wives the way God's Word says, loving your wife the way Christ loves the church. The church, was and is covered in prayer by Christ. He taught the church how to walk, what to do and what not to do and He gave His Life for the church. Jesus was the seed that died, so the church could begin to grow, just like a plant. We, as men of God, need to learn to be more like Christ. We need to die to everything in our lives that isn't of God.

When I go to church and I see women, teens, and girls wearing low cut shirts and blouses and tight pants and jeans, this upsets me. It's upsetting to see anyone dressed that way, but to see women of God dressed that way in church, shows a lack of order, Godly order, and this angers me. Parents, who have a relationship with Jesus are failing miserably in their parenting skills. You know what? The church authorities are also failing miserably. I recall a verse that says, don't be a stumbling block to you brother. Well, for the women who don't know, lust is real and it's hard to overcome, especially when you go to church and you see women, teens, and girls dressed so provocatively. If you don't believe lust exists, then look at the world, what's on TV and billboards, how people dress, it's disgusting. You don't have to look at the world, you can see it in church. We, as children of God, are supposed to be examples of Jesus, to those who don't know Jesus.

Another thing, why isn't lust preached on more in church? Why aren't there workshops to teach people, mainly men, of the dangers of lust and how to overcome the enemy by the power of God through prayer and being accountable to one another? I heard a few years ago that there are as many divorces in the church as in the world, maybe more. If men were taught how to be men of God and how to walk by His power, then we can start walking as Christ walked. Until then, we'll keep fumbling in the dark for His righteousness.

God bless

Be Still

Living life day by day is hard enough. Trying to obey the Word of God makes it that much more difficult. I read the Word and it's difficult to understand, but when He gives me understanding, then it becomes exciting. His Word comes alive and He opens my eyes to the deeper meanings of what's written in His Word. I believe this is what the following verse means.

Psalms 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Father, wants us to sit and listen. He wants a relationship with us. He wants us to love Him and adore Him; just by sitting and waiting on Him. He wants this more than anything.

Here's an incredible example. When Jesus healed someone, He didn't say; “Father, if it be Thy will, would you heal this person?” He spoke and it was so. He walked in the Power and Authority of the Holy Spirit. He had an incredible relationship with God. Often, He prayed through the night. Do you see? This is what He wants from us.

God bless
